Portraits and Selfies

Through a practice of cut paper portraiture, my work explores rest, sensuality, boundaries, and pleasure as resistance and antidotes to the toxic urgency, disconnection from our bodies, and dehumanization of capitalism, patriarchy, and white supremacy culture. My art is often inspired by cell phone selfies, a fun and reflective practice and a way of returning to myself and my body as a place of joy, pleasure, and abundance. I also love doing sensual selfie commissions as a way of helping others see themselves in an affirming, intimate, powerful, sometimes playful way.
